The Craftsmen’s Summer Classic Art & Craft Festival heads to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center
The Craftsmen’s Classic was founded by the Gilmore family 43 years ago when jewelry maker Clyde Gilmore wanted to create a “family” of craftsmen and artists from around the nation who could showcase their original works and interact with the public at an indoor festival. Today the event is managed by the founder’s son, Clyde Gilmore III, who is one of the crafts and fine arts industry’s most acclaimed promoters and the winner of several awards.
The Craftsmen’s Classic has been named a “Top 20 Event” by the Southeast Tourism Society and will be coming to the beach this August. From the third to the fifth, the Myrtle Beach Convention Center will host the art and craft festival, which features original work from hundreds of artists and craftspeople from all across the country. There will not only be the chance to pick up some wonderful and unique pieces, but there will also be the opportunity to see the creative process in action as many exhibitors will offer demonstrations throughout the weekend.
No matter what type of piece you’re hunting for (or even if you just want to browse and see what calls to you) or what your taste or budget may be, this is the place to pick up great, well-made art. Beat the heat and get inside with this three-day festival and find that perfect creation.
