Owners Marshall and Marissa Cooper Winstead are dedicated to providing the highest level of personal service and attention to their clients, and their success has been noticed. In North Carolina, Marissa was recognized by Catawba County’s Business to Business program as one of the Top 20 Entrepreneurs Under the Age Of 40 and, under her guidance, Cooper Southern Properties was chosen as Alexander County 2007 Small Business of The Year. Marshall has an extensive background in home construction, sales and general brokerage. Together, they have been recognized for their ongoing professional service to their community and were awarded The Taylorsville Times Readers’ Choice Award as Alexander County’s Best Real Estate Firm from 2014–2020.
Marshall and Marissa enjoy kayaking, running, biking and swimming. They have also been active in numerous civic and charitable organizations, including the Rotary Club Foundation, and are both Paul Harris Fellows. Marissa is an Army veteran who enjoyed being based out of Vilseck, Germany. The couple are very proud of their daughter, who is following in her mom’s Army footsteps and is now attending the US Military Academy at West Point. She will be commissioned as an Army officer in 2022.
