These October evenings will feature delicious Southern food and the beautiful Field of Light art installation
This October, Brookgreen Gardens will host a new event showcasing Bruce Munro’s Field of Light. This immersive display covering Brookgreen’s arboretum was originally installed for summer’s Southern Light exhibit. Each Friday and Saturday night in October, a Lowcountry supper will be served up, with guests invited to stroll through the installation featuring over 12,000 stems of light in softly moving colors.
“Field of Light was the most raved-about installation from our summer show, and we are excited to continue to offer guests a chance to see this incredible work by Bruce Munro,” says Page Kiniry, president and CEO of Brookgreen Gardens. “We hope guests will enjoy spending a beautiful fall evening indulging in Lowcountry fares and wandering through this wonderful light display designed by a world-renowned artist.”
The Friday and Saturday night suppers will consist of roasted oysters, Frogmore stew and chicken bog. Tickets are $45 for members and $50 for the general public, with the evening running from 7–9:30 p.m. A cash bar will be available for wine and beer purchases and VIP ticket options are also available. Enhanced safety protocols will be in place, with guests asked to observe social distancing guidelines and wear a mask or comparable face covering. In compliance with Georgetown County Emergency Ordinance 20-33, masks should always be used in any interior spaces, including public restrooms.
