Orleans Hill has focused on developing a leaner mouth feel and more focused flavors. It can age a few years and still retain these flavors.

France, $11
At Gerard Bertrand, all steps are taken to ensure a sustainable product created by the true nature of the terroir in the south of France. This light pink rose from the Grenache grape shows intense red fruit and a lengthy finish. Enjoy on warm spring afternoons and with grilled fish or light salads.

Amity Vineyards Pinot Noir 2009
Oregon, $29
Willamette Valley produces the best Pinots, and this one is blended from Oregon Tilth Certified grapes. It’s loaded with black fruit flavors and notes of mushroom, smoke, spice, tobacco and truffle. Best paired with pastas, fish and chicken dishes. Amity also produces a delightful Pinot Blanc.

Bonterra Chardonnay 2010
California, $13
Utilizes the biodynamic growing method, which involves the moon, insects, birds and other wildlife to make the vineyard a farm that is as one with the soil. The practice of burying cow’s horns filled with manure says Bonterra is serious about the organic approach. This Chardonnay offers green apple and pear citrus flavors.

GroundSwell Red Table Wine
California, $8
A blend of layered complexity and depth of flavor with a spicy mix of plums, berries and oak, unique to its volcanic soil. Member of California Certified Organic Growers, so it has no artificial chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides or herbicides.
