Tell us about this project. What was asked of you and what did you do? 
Like many of our custom home clients, this family had an idea of the design they wanted but utilized our home design team to bring their vision to life. They had fallen in love with a large estate and, in 30 years of marriage, this was their first new construction custom home! Through their extensive research, they selected CRG for our unique style of home design and reputation for quality. As a new construction home in an already established neighborhood, our team had the challenge of recreating their dream home in a way that wouldn’t disrupt the cohesive look of the surrounding environment. On the inside, we worked with them to develop a functional plan that was unique to their lifestyle.

Tell us about the style of this home and it’s unique architectural features:
This home truly embodies classic southern architecture, which was very different from our portfolio of raised beach and lowcountry style homes that are typical of the area. The exterior makes a statement with its deep front porch balanced by boxed columns and stone accents, giving an air of dignity and providing much needed shade during the warm summers! On the inside, dramatic shiplapped ceilings with soaring arches and exposed beams add elegant charm, especially when mixed with other accents throughout the home such as custom niches, statement windows, brick flooring and more. The result is a timeless estate washed in plenty of bright, natural light and full of architectural details and personality!
