There’s still time to get tickets to one of the biggest, and most chic fashion shows on the entire Grand Strand, all while helping a great cause.
The 9th annual Compassion Through Fashion takes place March 1 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, and is New Directions' signature fundraiser. The local nonprofit remains dedicated to ending homelessness, poverty, and addiction. Proceeds from this event help provide basic needs, connections to resources, and community support for local people in need.
CTF is a unique, judged fashion show featuring creative designs made from recycled materials.
Reused, repurposed, or recyclable materials are crafted by community members, groups, and businesses.
Water bottles, coffee filters, trash bags, newspapers, etc. are transformed into one-of-a-kind, fashionable attire modeled by stunning catwalk strutters, at this fun event! More than 500 attendees usually turn out for this fine fete, with more than 25 designers and artists showcasing their work.
Enjoy an evening of fashion, drinks, hors d'oeuvres, raffles, a photo booth, and live entertainment while visiting with friends both known and new.
"As we celebrate the 9th year of Compassion Through Fashion, our signature fundraising event, we’re excited to build on last year’s incredible success,” states New Directions CEO Kathy Jenkins. “Join us at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center for an evening of creativity and compassion. Community support as a sponsor, designer, or attendee will help us make an even greater impact!"
Tickets are $75 plus and tend to sell out quickly. Go to helpnewdirections.org/ctf to purchase yours!
