Clara and Dan Liu met while in high school in China and reconnected several years later. Dan and Clara moved to Myrtle Beach, where Dan is the owner of Founders Group International.

Their April 28, 2015, wedding was held at First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach with a reception following at Pine Lakes Country Club.

Clara walked down the isle in a stunning blue wedding gown, and with a short costume change donned a traditional Chinese dress for the reception. The guests drank champagne and even learned a little Chinese with sayings around the party. It was important to keep the Chinese culture a main focus during the pair's special day.

As a professional pianist, Clara honored her husband with a song on the piano during the mother and son dance.
