Hyman Vineyards Southern Nights
Conway, $9.50

From Muscadine grapes, this purple-hued wine offers a fruity nose with subtle tastes. Other wines from this vineyard are Sunshine, Sunrise and Sunset. The tasting room and gift store offers these wines plus products made from their farm, such as lotions and soaps, juices, jellies and preserves, candles, seeds and salsa. Winery tours available.

Silver Coast Winery Touriga 2007 Cape Fear Blood Wine
Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., $15

Dark plum color with nose of vanilla, cherries and blueberries and slight mocha finish. Set on 40 acres, this winery produces 10,000 cases yearly and offers tours of the facility, along with a tasting room, gift shop and art gallery. They offer a bridal show April 10 and Mother’s Day Tribute during May.

A new blend from native Carolina grapes. Medium sweet, spice and berry aroma. Serve as an aperitif or with Asian dishes. La Belle Amie hosts a Blues and Jazz Festival on April 12 and on non-festival weekends there is a bonfire and music. Gift shop on site.
