Cameron and Wilson met in elementary school and grew up best friends. They started dating their senior year of high school. After four years as a couple, Wilson proposed at the 43rd Avenue North beach access on Christmas Eve, a special place the couple visited together often throughout high school and college.

Their March 10, 2018, ceremony was held at First United Methodist Church, the church Cameron grew up in, followed by a Pine Lakes Country Club reception. The color scheme featured blush hues with pops of gold. The florals, created by Gale Baker Richardson, included lots of greenery and hydrangeas. Cameron wore a strapless gown from The Little White Dress. The gorgeous cake, adorned with a personalized topper and fresh flowers, was created by Coccadotts.
