Allie, a special education teacher with Horry County Schools, and Dylan, a digital producer for WMBF News, met one another like so many people do today — on social media.

Their courtship began with a series of dates walking on the beach, discovering the best ice cream spots on the Grand Strand, and sharing a love of great dining experiences throughout the lowcountry. Both Allie and Dylan are native South Carolinians - Allie’s hometown is Andrews, and Dylan hails from Pawleys Island.

As for their engagement, Dylan proposed during a romantic weekend getaway at Wrightsville Beach, NC. Not one to mince words or tarry, he got straight to the point, getting down on one knee and telling Allie, “I can’t wait any longer to ask you to be my wife.”

The wedding ceremony was held at the Kaminski House Museum in historic Georgetown, SC.

“It was a picture-perfect fall day amid the beauty of the oak trees on the banks of the Sampit River. We were so honored to have all of our friends and family with us to celebrate the start of our new life together.”

The reception was a classic lowcountry wedding held at the Kaminski House Museum, featuring delicious barbecue from Big D’s Barbecue. The evening was full of cherished memories as Allie and Dylan danced the night away under the lights on the lawn of the museum.

In addition to catering by Big D’s, DJ Chuck Amerson spun the tunes, Elegant Blooms added even more beauty to the almost surreal surroundings, and Publix bakery provided the wedding cake. Southern Brilliance Photography served as the photographer.

Dylan and Allie recently purchased a home in Conway.
