WPDE Meteorologist Ed Piotrowski, along with Coastal Carolina University, are kicking off the first day of hurricane season with this popular event, with proceeds benefiting United Way of Horry County. The Hustle begins and ends at Brooks Stadium, with finishers crossing the 50-yard line of Teal field. Additionally, a hurricane-readiness expo will be set up from 7 a.m. - noon with Piotrowski as the guest speaker, informing guests about the 2024 season outlook and featuring a Q & A session. There will also be a "Best Ed" competition, so come out in costume and show off your best version of Ed for a chance to win the trophy.
