Driving Miss Daisy

Theatre/Film

Set in mid-century Atlanta, this story tells the tale of an elderly Jewish matron, Daisy Werthan, and her chauffeur, Hoke Coleburn. Despite her initial reluctance about being forced to rely on a black man for transportation, Hoke wins Daisy over and the two develop a deep-rooted affection for each other during the 25-year span of the play. Driving Miss Daisy is a Pulitzer Prize winner.
