Myrtle Beach boasts two Oktoberfests a year, and this one is sponsored by the Oceanfront Merchants Association. The festivities get under way at noon, with free concerts all day. This festival is known for drawing nationally recognized bands, and this year is no different. Scheduled bands include Cowboy Mouth, Drivin N Cryin, American Aquarium, Passafire, Ballyhoo, Who Shot JR?, Broken Strings and the Channelheimer OOMPAH band. German food will be available for purchase, plus beer and wine. There will be an alcohol-free kid’s zone with inflatables. Downtown Myrtle Beach between Eighth and Ninth Avenues North.
