New Directions, a non-profit in Myrtle Beach that operates four homeless shelters encouraging people to get back on their feet, hosted the first Compassion Through Fashion event at the Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort at Grande Dunes. Fashions were made from everyday, unusual materials and awards were given out. The event raised more than $30,000.
