The “Disciples of James Dean” gather in a small-town dime store in West Texas for their twentieth reunion. Teenagers when Dean filmed a movie two decades ago in nearby Marfa, the women are now middle-aged. The ladies’ congenial reminiscence mingles with flashbacks to their youth, and the arrival of a stunning-but-familiar stranger smashes their delusions and exposes bitter disappointments.
