CCU’s :Athenaeum Press - Local Stories Matter: A Decade of Rediscovering Our Region

This interactive retrospective reflects the first ten years of work from the Athenaeum Press, CCU’s student-driven publishing lab that focuses on telling regional stories through innovative media. From a 19 th-century explorer navigating the Waccamaw River in a paper mache canoe, to an immersive archive of Gullah spirituals and communities, Press projects investigate and illuminate the hidden narratives of the coastal Carolinas.  Thursday, Sept. 21-Sunday, Dec. 31, Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday 1-5 p.m. Myrtle Beach Art Museum, 3100 S.
