In celebration of science and space exploration, CCU marks the birthday of late American cosmologist and astronomer Carl Sagan with the second annual Carl Sagan Day Lecture, led by guest scholar Janna Levin. Levin earned her Ph.D. in theoretical physics from MIT and is a leading expert on black holes, cosmology of extra dimensions and gravitational waves. She is currently the Tow Professor of physics and astronomy at Barnard College of Columbia University.
