Formed in Long Island in 2000, Brand New’s first studio album, Your Favorite Weapon, was released in 2001. 2003’s Deja Entendu marked a stylistic change, as well as two singles—“The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows” and “Sic Transit Gloria…Glory Fades”—that received airplay. The 2006 song “Jesus Christ,” off the album The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, peaked on the US charts at number 30. Daisy, the band’s most recent album, was released in 2009.
