Since 2021, this charity ride has supported bicycle and pedestrian advocacy efforts throughout the Grand Strand. Charities supported include the Horry County Composite Mountain Bike Team, and the Myrtle Beach Police Foundation. Bike the Beach is a collaborative effort of the City Of Myrtle Beach Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee and the Grand Strand Bicycle Club. Bike the Beach offers three ride options: Whit’s Coffee and Beer 62-mile Metric Century; 30-mile City of Myrtle Beach Showcase Loop; and a short 10-mile Family Ride (free). The 62-mile ride will be on roadways while the 30/10-mile rides will take place on bike paths, trails and roadways. Downtown, between 8th and 9th avenues North.
