Landolfi’s is more than a bakery of sweets (although their pastries and desserts are to-die-for); it’s a charming Italian bistro specializing in Neapolitan pizzas slid into a wood-fired brick and imported clay oven and it’s an Old World deli, with sandwiches and paninis served on homemade Italian bread. It’s the locals’ true love. A few highlights include the Pawleys Porker panini (wood-roasted pork tenderloin, peppers, provolone and balsamic), the Pizza Bianco (mozzarella, ricotta, spinach, black olives and garlic) and an ample selection of deli sandwiches to put your hands on. We recommend you also indulge in their wine list, cocktails or gourmet coffees. Choose to dine inside the warm, welcoming interior or on the covered outdoor patio complete with a fireplace.

For more than a decade, Pawleys Island Bakery has been satisfying sweet tooths near and far. Take your pick, from sweet (cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, bars and breakfast baked goods) to savory (loaves of bread, sandwiches and soups). You can’t go wrong on what you decide on. With more than 35 years of experience, owner Max Goree was trained in France at LaVarenne, Ecole de Cuisine and uses only the freshest, local ingredients.

Although the bakery’s location recently moved, Incredible Edibles’ story on the Grand Strand traces back to more than 25 years ago. Not only have they been renowned for their wedding cakes here locally, they’ve been recognized nationally and featured on The Food Network and more. Led by pastry chef and owner Nancy Knarr, head pastry chef Heather Angus, and assistant pastry chef Holly Braddock, Incredible Edibles also bakes goodies for their quaint retail store. The daily-changing menu includes breakfast pastries, cruffins, macarons, desserts, coffee by Coastal Coffee Roasters and tea by Charleston Tea Plantation.

One of more than a dozen locations across the country, Parlor Doughnuts is a power duo of unique doughnuts and great coffee. The first one opened in 2019 and the rest of these specialty doughnut shops followed suit, with their signature “Layered Doughnut” as the menu’s showpiece that sets them apart. There are too many doughnuts to list, but they can all be themed under “creative,” as well as their coffee, juice and kombucha, light breakfast fare, and milkshakes.
