Love at first waffle in three Grand Strand locations! The Food Network voted Johnny D’s Red Velvet Waffle as the #1 waffle in South Carolina, but that’s just a well-deserved headline grabber. The rest of the menu includes budget friendly early bird specials (eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, etc.) including coffee, tea or fountain drink for $6, served 6:30- 8:30 a.m.  Regular breakfast fare includes all the traditional favorites plus gourmet omelets, benedicts, He-Man Breakfasts, biscuits, pastries, pancakes, fruits, bagels and more.

Known affectionately as “The P.I.T.” this South Strand staple has been serving great pizza and live music to families and celebrities alike for decades; Cyndi Lauper has been a regular in past years. Open Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m.- 2 a.m., the PIT may be known for its pizzas, but the menu is also loaded with soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and dogs, crab cakes, seafood baskets, and take-home specialties. Stick around for weekend live music year-round.
