Organized by S.C. Sea Grant Consortium in partnership with the S.C. Department of Natural Resources, the Beach and River Sweep is the largest one-day litter cleanup of South Carolina’s beaches and waterways. This is a great chance to get involved—firsthand—in taking care of your beautiful beaches. Once the sweep is over, The Ocean Conservancy tallies all of the debris data and find sources of litter so they can stop pollution before it starts. So by all means—get your hands dirty!
