Richard Skipper was born in Conway in 1931. He made his debut in 1974 as a walk on at Theatre of the Republic. Within a few years he was playing larger roles and decided he was going to go to New York. This he did, and 40 years later he returns to his hometown to tell the tales of his first years of struggle to how he made it in the Big Apple.
