Lauren and Bryce met through her brother, who is Bryce’s best friend. The couple dated for five years before getting engaged. For the proposal, Bryce enlisted the help of Lauren’s friend and gave Lauren the impression that she was going to be doing a photo shoot for her. When the girls arrived at the location, Bryce and his dog were patiently waiting in hiding. Bryce threw a tennis ball in Lauren’s direction, and when the dog ran toward her he was wearing a seersucker bowtie and a collar that read “Marry Me.” Bryce came out of hiding with a matching bowtie and proposed. The ceremony was held at Hidden Acres Cabin in Marion. The pair were married by the pastor who married both their parents and the ceremony featured Celtic music.
