Katie Speir & Taylor Reed

After two years of vetting Katie, her co-worker set her up on a blind date with one of her friend’s sons. Katie met Taylor at Starbucks on a Sunday afternoon and that night, he called her to do dinner that week. The set up worked and after dating a year and a half, Taylor took Katie on a boat ride at his parent’s house on Lake Murray. After leaving the dock, he asked Katie to spend forever with him. They were married at the Heritage Plantation under a clear tent that showcased the rice fields, oak trees and sunset. The families had many memorable pieces in the wedding, including Katie sewing a piece of her late father’s dress shirt into her wedding gown to represent him walking her down the aisle. Taylor also had his late grandfather’s wedding band sized to fit him. Katie and Taylor live in Columbia.
