Kati Bellamy & Denton Egger

The couple met when Kati was completing a clinical rotation in Georgetown and Denton was visiting the area on a break from medical school. They were introduced by friends and kept up their friendship after they returned to school in Georgia and Arkansas. After a year of communicating, the pair began traveling to see each other. Nine months into their long-distance relationship, Kati received a surprise first-class flight to Arkansas for Valentine’s Day. After many weather delays, she arrived six hours late and missed the dinner plans. Denton couldn’t wait and proposed in the airport terminal with a diamond and a dozen roses. The wedding took place at Wachesaw Plantation, where the pair wanted their ceremony and reception to reflect their home states. The Southern couple wanted the wedding to be “Old South,” with deviled eggs, prime rib and shrimp and grits at the reception. They left the reception in the bride’s father’s 1969 Z28 Camaro. The couple currently lives in Little Rock. PHOTOGRAPH BY PASHA BELMAN PHOTOGRAPHY
