Harleigh and James met at Clemson University during a swing class. The pair dated for two years while at Clemson, and then long distance for another five while Harleigh was in graduate school. James proposed in the Clemson Botanical Gardens before a football game, followed by tailgating with family and friends. The wedding was held at The Farm in Candler, North Carolina. Harleigh’s childhood pastor officiated and students from her high school, the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, provided the ceremony music. The couple chose the venue since they both love the mountains and it is near where James grew up. The weather was perfect, so the day was a mix of outdoor and indoor. The couple currently lives in Flagstaff, Arizona.
