The pair knew each other from high school, but their relationship did not begin until Georgia was a junior at Clemson and Jared had recently graduated from Lander. Jared was coaching Georgia’s little brother as the assistant baseball coach at A.C. Flora High School, where the pair attended. The team had an end of the year party at Georgia’s family’s lake house, where she and Jared hit it off and stayed in touch throughout the summer. For their first date, they tailgated at a USC football game, went to dinner and spent the night out on the town. They have been best friends ever since. After five years together, Jared proposed. The ceremony took place at Litchfield Plantation and had their Columbia pastor officiating. They ended the ceremony with the Irish Blessing and walked out to “Make Me Feel Your Love” by Bob Dylan. Georgia wore her grandmother’s gold and pearl earrings and borrowed her wedding cake topper. Georgia and Jared live in Columbia. PHOTOGRAPH BY CORINA SILVA PHOTOGRAPHY
