Carroll and Alex met 38 years ago at a party in Rehubet, Delaware, and have been together since. They decided once South Carolina legalized same-sex marriage, they should finally commit. They chose the memorable date of 12-13-14 for a ceremony in a friend’s backyard. It was a beautiful sunny day and the setting featured lots of greenery. The couple wrote their own vows to make the memorable occasion even more special.
