Enjoy This Holiday Favorite!

For more than 40 years, the Dickens Christmas Show and Festival has grown from a charming holiday marketplace into a full Victorian-era experience that’s rife with history, entertainment, and tradition. Each year sees unique wares from artisans, entertainers, rare historical exhibits and much more that make festival-goers seem as if they have wandered into the 1800s.

This year’s event is at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Nov. 13-16.

“Among our favorites are the authentic Victorian Bath House on Wheels, once used to preserve a lady’s modesty while changing into her bathing costume and even being rolled to the water’s edge, and the grand Penny Farthing bicycle, a delightful but tricky contraption that’s a true sight to behold,” says Robin Smith, with the Dickens Christmas Show. “Guests are also treated to the breathtaking Victorian Santas Through the Ages display, showcasing the many faces of Saint Nicholas as he’s evolved over time. And of course, the “real” Santa himself will be here." There will also be a silent auction with the winners announced Sunday. Proceeds will benefit local charities.

“Adding to the festive ambiance is the spectacular Festival of Trees, Holiday Tables and Festival of Worlds where you can taste many delicious holiday treats,” she concludes.
