Taste of the Town is back for year 30

A culinary adventure, Taste of the Town has been a favorite among locals for years—30 years to be exact. This year marks three decades of the event, which features samplings of fares from some of the finest restaurants on the Grand Strand.

With more than 50 eateries bringing their goods to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, there’s a taste of something for whatever you may be craving. New this year, Taste of the Town and House of Blues have teamed together to bring in celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez from the Food Network to give live cooking demonstrations during the event.

For those older than 21, the wine and beer gardens are a popular spot. Cold, delicious brews and savory wines top off an evening of sensory bliss.

Last year top awards went to 21 Main for its Prime NY Sirloin and Lil’ Tokyo Steakhouse and Sushi Bar for its Tropical Naruto, with Rioz Brazilian Grille, Coccadotts Cake Shop and Greg Norman’s Australian Grille taking home People’s Choice Awards.

Proceeds benefit Saint Andrew Catholic School.
