Lauren and Trey met through mutual friends and dated for eight months before getting engaged. The proposal was simple and sweet, with Trey getting on one knee, saying heartfelt things and asking Lauren to marry him. The ceremony was held on the beach at Pawleys Island. The McClure family has been visiting Pawleys for an annual family vacation for more than 25 years, and Lauren knew from a young age that it was the place she wanted to say “I do.” When deciding whether to have a destination wedding or get married in Kentucky, Trey was the one who suggested Pawleys Island. Lauren was thrilled. The ceremony was small and simple, with only family and very close friends. The couple’s pastor flew in to officiate. The decor included lanterns and signs welcoming guests. The ceremony was followed by a reception dinner at Root in Georgetown. Lauren and Trey live in Louisville, Kentucky.
