Sigmund Abeles Exhibits

Sigmund Abeles Exhibits

Myrtle Beach native Sigmund Abeles pulled much of his influence from his time along the Grand Strand. The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum will host two exhibits featuring Abeles. The first, An Artist’s Eye: A Journey through Modern and Contemporary Art with Sigmund Abeles includes works Abeles selected from the Columbia Museum of Art’s permanent collection. The second, Figuratively Speaking: The Art of Sigmund Abeles, displays Abeles’ work, which he describes as “psychological realism.”
Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, 3100 S. Ocean Blvd. Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m–4 p.m.; Sunday, 1–4 p.m. By donation. (843) 238-2510,
