The Mythical & Medieval Fest returns to raise funds for a good cause

Fall festival season is upon us. Though only in its seventh year, the Mythical & Medieval Fest has quickly grown into an amazing event that attendees look forward to. The Renaissance-themed festival also helps to raise funds for a great cause—Caleb’s Dragonfly Dreams.

Step into a whimsical realm that features medieval combat, a fairy forest, princesses, a fire show, an artisan’s village area and much more. The weekend is geared toward family and will include fun free activities like archery and a Viking toss. Enjoy shows and live music, all included with the admission price. You can relax on a hay bale as you listen to musicians play flutes and strum guitars or watch blacksmiths and glassblowers create their wares. Be sure to bring your appetite, as there will be plenty of delicious food. You can even take on the challenge of enjoying a massive and delicious turkey leg.

Everyone is a character, so don’t forget your imagination, your costume or your willingness to support a great cause. Caleb’s Dragonfly Dreams is a Myrtle Beach area non-profit that provides positive activities to children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected and reside in shelters or group homes. This includes bringing crafts like tie-dyeing t-shirts to the kids, as well as outings like beach days. You can learn more at calebsdragonflydreams.org.
