UPDATE: This event was moved to the rain date of Sunday, December 15th from noon to 3:00 pm.

Get into the Christmas spirit with your pup this holiday season! The Santa Paws Pageant, a special event hosted by Grande Dunes and sponsored by Camp Bow Wow, will feature lots of festive fun. Held on Saturday, December 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the beautiful Marina Park, the day will include food trucks, a big kids' zone and vendors. Live music will be provided by Fireside Collective. The Pawmetto Flyball Pack Club will give demonstrations, and kids can race a dog to win a ribbon. There will also be a chance to get your photo with Santa in his workshop and enjoy brownies, fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate.

The highlight of the day will be the dog pageant at 1 p.m., where the canines can strut their stuff in their best seasonal costumes. The pageant will feature special judges from the community. Liz Callaway with Talk 94.5 will serve as MC.

Proceeds from the event will benefit both the Grand Strand Humane Society and the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach.

Come have some doggone great holiday fun while helping raise funds for our local shelters! The event is free, but be sure to bring some cash to buy tickets for activities. Dogs that are friendly with people and other pups are welcome.
