Occupation: 

Artist, art educator, and upcycled/trashion designer based in Conway, South Carolina. Teaches photography at Myrtle Beach High School and Horry-Georgetown Technical College. 

How would you describe your style?

My style is creative, practical, and shaped a lot by my life as an artist and educator. I’m drawn to thrifted finds and pieces that feel expressive or a little unexpected, but most days I’m balancing that with the reality of teaching photography and art classes and constantly working on messy projects. I’m usually surrounded by paint, chemicals, cameras, glue guns, and studio materials, and unfortunately a lot of the clothes I’ve loved most have eventually been ruined by something art-related. 

What do your outfits say about you?

My outfits usually scream “artist” and “dog mom.” I’m drawn to things that feel creative, comfortable, authentic, or a little unexpected rather than perfectly polished. A lot of what I wear is thrifted, repurposed, or styled in a way that reflects my creative background and everyday life as an art teacher and working artist. My favorite accessory is probably my tiny 2-pound dog, Daisy Mae, who is often tucked into my overalls pocket or somewhere nearby following me around.
