Shawn and Whitney met years ago in Myrtle Beach. They had many mutual friends so they would see each other out on occasion. Eventually Whitney moved back home to Virginia to grow her clothing boutique, The Retail Therapist, and the two didn’t see each other for some time until they both attended a mutual friend’s wedding. They spent the evening dancing together and both knew they were going to spend the rest of their lives together from the moment they “re-saw” each other. Whitney had always dreamed of a winter proposal in New York City, so Shawn had to work hard to make it a surprise. He popped the question at Bow Bridge in Central Park. The couple purchased their first home together in Lake Norman, North Carolina, since it was halfway between Virginia where she lived and Myrtle Beach where he lived. They decided to get married there since they loved the area, which was where most of their relationship was built. They said “I do” at Trump National Golf Club on the lake. The day was beautiful with all their guests looking gorgeous and their sweet baby boy, Bo, being able to be there with them. Not only was the day perfect, Whitney loved the planning process. The couple currently lives in Myrtle Beach.
