The pair met while Susan was working as a waitress at the Legends Golf Resort, where Alex was playing golf. He came in and sat at her table. The kitchen was closed but he asked her if she could fix him something to eat, which she did. They hit it off from the start. After almost three years together, the couple went for an evening walk on the beach with their dog, Chloe. Alex said Chloe had something for Susan, and when he picked the dog up the ring was attached to her collar. The wedding was held outdoors at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes. Chloe was the dog of honor and had her own wedding dress, coming down the aisle with the flower girl and junior groomsman. For the ballroom reception, the couple’s monogram was used throughout and pink linens were draped over tables accented with gold votives, white lanterns and flowers. The couple lives in Myrtle Beach.
