Nicole and Michael met at their church and dated for eight months before getting engaged. At midnight, after a movie at Market Common, Michael stopped the car and got out, wanting to dance with Nicole to the music on the radio. She tried to refuse and lock herself in the car, but she finally gave in. When she got out, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. The ceremony was held at Carolina Forest Community Church, where the pastor, who has known the pair for years, made the ceremony personable and real. The couple lives in the Grand Strand area.
