Morgan and Isaac met in Columbia on Thanksgiving 2010, when Morgan’s Great Aunt invited Isaac’s family to dinner. The pair began exchanging emails and talking on the phone. Their first date was during the Christmas holiday, where they enjoyed a movie and drinks and appetizers at Gordon Biersch. After two years together, Isaac told Morgan to go to her room and look at page 325 of Catch-22, where there was a love note. They headed to Brookgreen Gardens’ Nights of a Thousand Candles that evening, with Isaac surprising her with a bouquet of roses and lilies. At the event, they found a spot amid the beautiful gardens to warm up. Isaac explained that the message in the book stood for M and the roses he had brought her stood for R. He then got down on one knee and said the last gift he wanted to give her was his last name. The wedding took place at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City, where pieces of the bride’s mother’s veil were incorporated into her bouquet. The reception was held at Caledonia, and the couple made their getaway in a Thunderbird.
