The couple met while both working at Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Concord, North Carolina. They first began dating in the spring of 2009 and were on and off before reconnecting in 2014. In April of 2017, Lyndsey worked from home so she could care for Blake after he underwent oral surgery. While she was working on her laptop in the kitchen, Blake came up behind her and kissed her on the head. She didn’t think much of it, but he got her attention when he placed a ring on her keyboard. The ceremony was held at Trinity United Methodist Church in North Myrtle Beach, followed by a reception at Surf Golf & Beach Club. The color scheme for the winter wedding was navy and gold with lots of greenery. The feeling was romantic, with low-lit candlelight and florals. The maid of honor was the bride’s younger sister while the groom’s older brother served as his best man. The bride and her family brought in all their own decorations—lanterns, candles, votives, signage and more—to decorate the church and reception venue. The couple took dance lessons to learn how to waltz for their first dance. Lyndsey and Blake live in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
