Lindsey Hendrick & Kent Altman

Though the pair had met briefly and knew of each other from CCU baseball games (where Kent was a pitcher and Lindsey, whose father taught at the university, was a staunch fan), their fairy tale didn’t begin until a 2010 New Year’s Eve party held in a shed, affectionately known as “The Palace,” at the home of their friends Kelli and Tyler Thomas. After dating Kent for a year and eight months, Lindsey stopped by the Palace, thinking she was there to do Kelli a favor. When she opened the door, Kent was waiting, surrounded by candles and twinkle lights. After she said yes, family and close friends arrived and they celebrated into the night. The ceremony was held at First United Methodist Church in Conway, followed by a reception at Bucksville Hall at Thompson Farm. Unique personal touches ran throughout the evening, including scripture readings from the bible of the bride’s late godfather, the cake table covered with the lace train from Lindsey’s mother’s wedding gown, and the blowing of duck calls and throwing of feathers to see the bride and groom (an avid duck hunter) off. Lindsey and Kent live in Conway.
