Lauren and Brian met when Lauren was staying with her mom in Myrtle Beach after moving back from California. Their mothers were co-workers and though Lauren thought the set up would be awkward, the pair had a great first date with their moms. After dating for 11 months, they had dinner at Bovine’s in Murrells Inlet and stopped for a drink at the Mullet Hut. After starting out on a walk, it looked like it would rain at any minute. Brian pulled Lauren into an alcove and got down on one knee. After saying yes, the bottom fell out and the pair got soaked and celebrated in the rain. The wedding took place under a beautiful oak tree at Thompson Farm, followed by a reception at Bucksville Hall. The event was rustic-elegant, with glitter mason jars featuring hydrangeas, candelabras filled with flowers and navy tablecloths accented with light blue. The reception also featured a dessert bar with a ladder with string lights and a photo wall of pictures and monograms.
