The bride and groom met through mutual friends on the Waccamaw River in the summer of 2011. After being friends for a bit, they began dating and got engaged after a little over a year together. When sitting home together on a Friday night, Jason’s little boy, Landon, asked Lauren to come outside. There was a fire going and Landon read a letter about how important Lauren was to them and the family and asked her to turn around if she wanted to be a family forever. Jason was waiting on one knee and they celebrated with sparklers and fireworks. The ceremony was held at Jason’s family farm in Tabor City and was small and intimate with homemade décor, hand-cut tree stumps and pies. The pair lives in Conway.
