Julie Payne & Jeffrey Morris

Julie and Jeff met and became friends at Myrtle Beach High School and kept in touch over the years. They began dating after college. After two years together, Jeff, who was in law school in Charleston, was planning to drive up to visit on what Julie assumed was a regular weekend. He called to say he had been pulled over and was running late. Little did Julie know, he was actually in Murrells Inlet asking her parents for her hand. He rang her doorbell and was down on one knee, asking her to be his wife. The wedding took place at Belin United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, followed by a reception at Sunnyside Plantation. The wedding was a Lowcountry theme with bird feather boutonnieres and a reception right on the inlet. There were mahogany farm tables, wine barrels, lanterns and burlap complemented by lots of greenery and hydrangeas. The couple rode in the bride’s grandfather’s 1950 Ford, and of course the menu included lots of Southern favorites like shrimp and grits, fried catfish nuggets and oyster shooters. The pair live in Myrtle Beach.
