Caroline Worley & Carl Sloan

Caroline and Carl were set up on a blind date through mutual friends. Carl decided to make the first date interesting at T.I.G.E.R.S. Perseveration Station, where he insisted they each have their own tiger to hold during pictures. He was completely unaware that Caroline was terrified of wild animals. Eventually they could laugh about how the tiger ended up scaring her more than going on a blind date. After dating for a year and a half, the pair took a trip to England. While overlooking Bath, Carl proposed, surprising her with a ring custom designed around his mother’s original diamond. The wedding was held at Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception at The Dunes Club. Carolina blue was reflected in many elements of the day, including the bridesmaids’ dresses and Caroline’s shoes. At the reception, the guests were asked to write the couple, a pharmacist and ophthalmologist, “prescriptions” for a happy marriage. Guests were given light blue glow-stick glasses and the pair were sent off by the cheerful waving of long glow-sticks. The couple live in the Grande Dunes with their two rescue dogs, Bailey and Siri.
