Caroline and Kent met through her brother, Lash, who was Kent’s fraternity brother at Wofford College. After five years together, the couple headed to Cashiers, North Carolina, to stay in Caroline’s family’s mountain house for the weekend. On the drive, the pair stopped at an overlook for a photo. When Caroline was running back from setting the camera on self-timer on the hood of the car, Kent got down on one knee. Their families were waiting at the house to celebrate. The ceremony was held at First United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach, where Kent’s sister Kate officiated. This was the same church Caroline’s parents were married in. The reception took place at Caledonia Golf and Fish Club in Pawleys Island. Caroline and Kent live in Greenville.
