The pair dated in high school, when he was a Socastee Brave and she was a Myrtle Beach Seahawk. Seven years after dating as teenagers, they reconnected over a game over poker, of which Justin says he lost the game but won the best girl. After bonding over their love of family, fishing and fun, Justin proposed after picking Aubree up after her last day of exams at the Charleston School of Law. While driving back to Murrells Inlet, she jokingly started discussing engagement rings. Justin reached into his bookbag and pulled out a box, asking her if this ring would work. Though he planned the proposal differently, Aubree loved that is was so him—he was too excited to wait. The wedding took place at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island and included pimiento cheese, peanuts and a Perfectly Pickled bar. The bride’s dress featured a custom turquoise stone from a bracelet she hung in the groom’s truck when they dated in high school. The night also featured `antiques medicine bottles and candlelit gray tables with burlap runners, a silhouette artist and the pair’s white lab, Diesel. The outdoor reception treated guests to a rainbow, biscuit station and favors of cookies and coozies. Aubree and Justin live in Charleston with their son. They plan to return to Murrells Inlet after the bride completes her law degree.
