Anna and DJ met on a boat in Little River during a mutual friend’s party on the water, a party to which DJ was late and the boat had to wait for him. After six years together, the couple got engaged in 2015. DJ is in the concrete cutting business and proposed to Anna on Interstate 16 in Dublin, Georgia, right next to a concrete saw. Though the couple was supposed to marry on October 8, Hurricane Matthew pushed their beach wedding back. The ceremony was followed by a fishing-themed reception on the lawn of a private oceanside home. Table centerpieces featured bowls with live goldfish and the groom’s cake was a Yeti cooler. An old boat on its side offered iced beverages and the guest tables were beautifully adorned with lanterns, pampas grass and natural greenery. The groom and groomsmen wore fishing lure boutonnieres and the bridal party all wore different gowns of white. After honeymooning in Asheville, the couple is making their home in Myrtle Beach.
