Merritt and Brad met at the Filmore, a music venue in Charlotte. He proposed at Thanksgiving dinner, during which Merritt thought he had hurt his ankle. The ceremony was held at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club where the bride wore an off-white dress with tiny pearls and the groom wore a gray sit with a sea foam accent bowtie. The day was beach themed, and though the weather called for rain all day, it cleared up about 15 minutes before the ceremony began. Guests dined on lobster bisque, chicken and beef, and delicious tuna tacos. The couple lives in Charlotte.
